The initial stop on our tour from Trabzon is Tirebolu Castle, a 3500-year-old fortress located on a small peninsula. Its name is derived from Tripolis, signifying three cities. Following a brief exploration and admiring the scenery, we proceed to Giresun. Our Giresun visit commences at Giresun Castle, which offers a panoramic view of the city and renowned as the birthplace of cherries (Kiraz). The castle houses restaurants and cafes, including the tomb of Topal Osman Ağa, a key figure in the National Struggle era. Leaving Giresun Castle, we head to Ordu after capturing the breathtaking views of Giresun city center.
Ordu Boztepe, situated 470 meters above sea level and accessible via a cable car from the city center, stands as a major attraction. During your leisure time in Ordu, take the cable car to Boztepe and enjoy lunch at one of the reputable restaurants. Subsequently, a seaside stroll and exploration of the city center’s shopping hubs can fill your remaining time.
Following free time in Ordu, we regroup and journey back to Trabzon. A brief shopping break awaits at the Sagra Chocolate Factory Outlets Facility, the largest chocolate factory in our country. Our day concludes upon reaching Trabzon, bidding farewell until our next adventure together.
