Our guide and driver will greet you at your hotel in Antalya at 07:30 am, initiating a fascinating day-long journey to Konya. During the scenic 3-hour drive, with intermittent breaks, we’ll reach the Mevlana Museum, the mausoleum of Rumi, a revered mystic and Sufi thinker. This site, also known as ‘Mevlana Müzesi,’ houses Rumi’s tomb and an adjacent museum displaying artifacts from his life and the Seljuk era. The exhibits encompass ancient manuscripts, hand-crafted copies of the Quran, musical instruments from Rumi’s time, and various artworks.
Following the museum visit, you’ll enjoy lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, our exploration continues with a visit to the Alaeddin Mosque, distinguished by its unique Turkish architecture featuring wooden columns that support the entire structure. The mosque’s courtyard is home to a burial ground for the Sultans. Concluding our journey, we’ll explore the Ince Minareli Medrese, a theological school known for its remarkable portal gate, a standout example of Turkish architecture.
The tour wraps up around 8:30 pm – 9:00 pm, and we’ll ensure your safe return to your hotel.
