Stretching over 500 km (310 mi) along Turkey’s southwest coast, the Lycian Way is renowned for its breathtaking landscapes and ancient ruins. On this 5-day journey, you’ll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in its beauty and rich cultural history while exploring this extraordinary trail.
Each day, we’ll spend 5 to 6 hours hiking, with a maximum altitude of 900 meters. The path takes us along rocky mule trails, limestone routes, and dirt roads, so a good level of fitness is essential. Below, you’ll find a detailed day-to-day itinerary of our trek.

Upon arrival at Dalaman Airport, your guide will meet you and, after everyone has gathered, we’ll enjoy a private transfer to Fethiye, which takes about 1 hour.

We’ll begin our walk directly from the hotel, heading towards the striking Lycian Rock Tombs above Fethiye (entrance optional, approx. 2€). From here, we start ascending behind the Crusader Castle and enter a Red Pine forest, with views improving at every step. We’ll follow the old cobbled road connecting Fethiye (formerly Meğri – Telmessos) and Kayaköy (formerly Livissi – Karmylassos), which was used by Ottoman Greek citizens during their final departure in 1923.
As we descend into Kayaköy’s farmland, we’ll continue walking to our hotel. For those who prefer a lighter day, a refreshing dip in the pool awaits! Afterward, we’ll explore the ghost town of Kayaköy (entrance fee included). For those looking to shorten the trek, it’s possible to return to the hotel early, making a total trek of 9km, with 500m ascent and 300m descent.
We’ll then continue to the stunning Ölüdeniz Lagoon, where you can take a dip in the crystal-clear waters before walking the final 2km along the quiet lagoon road to the town center. We’ll use public transport to return to Kayaköy. Dinner is included at the hotel, which offers simple accommodations with a pool.

A short drive will bring us to Ovacik, the starting point of today’s trek along the Lycian Way. The trail takes us up to the shoulders of Babadag Mountain (2000m), offering breathtaking views over the Ölüdeniz Lagoon and St. Nicholas Island.
We’ll stay at a charming trekkers’ lodge with panoramic views of Butterfly Valley. Dinner and the next day’s picnic are included, and the lodge also features a swimming pool for relaxation.

We start our walk from the hotel. The Butterfly Valley, named after the Blue Butterflies, enchants us in the morning. After the insatiable shots in the butterfly valley, we take the sea to our right and reach Aktaş Bay. After the lunch break here, our walk with sea view on our right takes us to Kabak bay after 2 hours.
After we reach to Kabak Bay we walk up to Kabak waterfall for 1,5 hour more. We have a swimming break at the waterfall here and walk back to Kabak Bay. Enjoy the swimming break at the Kabak Bay, transfer to the hotel!
