Upon your arrival we will pick you up from the airport and transfer to Hotel in Sultanahmet area. Overnight in Istanbul
2. Day : Imperial Tour Byzantine Relics (B)
Please don’t forget to pack your luggage and store at the receptions today due your transfer pick up. We begin our tour of the Sultanahmet district, the heart of old Istanbul, at Hagia Sophia*. Built by the Emperor Justinian in the early 6th century AD and designed by Anthemius of Tralles and Isodore of Miletus, the church is one of the marvels of world architecture. Converted into a mosque in 1453, it is now a museum. Its massive dome still dominates the skyline of old Istanbul. It is also famed for its mosaics, including glittering portraits of emperors and empresses and a poignant Virgin and Child. Next we visit the Blue Mosque** which takes its name from the exquisite tiles adorning its interior. Built by Sultan Ahmet I in the early 17th century and designed by a pupil of Sinan, the greatest of Ottoman architects, it is the only imperial mosque with six minarets. Its courtyard is especially grand. The Hippodrome, the stadium of ancient Byzantium, held 100,000 spectators and featured objects from all corners of the empire. Of these, an Egyptian obelisk and a bronze sculpture of three entwined serpents from Delphi survive. The Grand Bazaar was the commercial heart of the old city and its 4,000 shops are full of treasures including carpets and kilims, silks, jewelry, ceramics, icons, and leather goods. Wandering through the Grand Bazaar, indulge in some shopping, Ottoman style. (Afternoon tour also available on Tuesdays) THIS TOUR TERMINATES AT GRAND BAZAAR. 3. Day : Cappadocia Full Day Tour (B,L)
Tour start in the morning from the hotel. Firstly, you will stop to take photos at Uc Guzeller which are famed fairy chimneys in Cappadocia. Next, visit to DEVRENT Valley has various types of fairy chimneys. Among these are those with caps, cones, mushroom like forms pillar and pointed rocks.We will take a walk through this amazing valley. Then, you will visit PASABAGLARI (Monk’s Valley) where you will see many fairy chimneys with multiple stems and caps can be found here, this style being unique to this area. A chapel dedicated to St. Simeon and a hermit’s shelter is built into one such fairy chimney with three heads. After visiting Pasabag, we will drive to AVANOS which is known for the pottery, a craft dating back to the Hittite period. The red clay which is worked by local craftsmen comes from the residue in the Kizilirmak river. The Kizilirmak, which divides Avanos into two, is Anatolia’s longest river. And we will have a rest to have lunch in a local restaurant. After having lunch, we will proceed to GOREME Open Air Museum where this religious education was started. You will visit the churhces, chapels and monasteries carved into the fairy chimmeys from the 10th to the 13th centuries with frescos painted on the walls. Before we take you to your hotels, we will have a rest to take some photos in UCHISAR Castle and ESENTEPE. UCHISAR CASTLE is the highest point in the region. The castle and its surrounds used to be the most populated area this settlement. As for Esentepe, this hill provides a magnificent panorama of the surrounding area. 4. Day Cappadocia to Antalya (B)
Pick up from Hotel and transfer to Kayseri Airport for flight to Antalya. Antalya, Turkey’s principal holiday resort in the Mediterranean region (ancient Pamphylia), is an attractive city with shady palm-lined boulevards, a prize-winning marina on the Mediterranean. In the picturesque old quarter, Kaleici, narrow winding streets and old wooden houses about the ancient city walls. Overnight in Antalya
5. Day Antalya City Tour (B,L)
Antalya is a city that ranks as one of the most popular places among visitors to Turkey. Our full-day excursion will take you sightseeing in the historic city of Antalya. Do you still wonder what to do in Antalya, Turkey? We will start the day by picking you up from your hotel. Along the way we will visit the Duden Waterfalls. Duden waterfalls are the most beautiful and the most visited in Antalya region. So you can take photos of the beautiful Antalya Waterfalls.
Kaleici, or Old Antalya, is filled with history and lovely buildings. You will see old houses built in the Ottoman style and from the park you’ll enjoy terrific views of the water. You will see the old town’s harbour, Hadrian’s Gate, and many other sights as well.
This section of the city features many small streets lined with shops, kebab restaurants and pensions. There are some great boutique hotels and pensions here if you decide to return and stay in the ancient heart of Antalya.
Enjoy a boat trip from the old harbour that will take you along the cliffs of Antalya. Enjoy the scenic coast of Antalya Old City, breathe in the fresh sea air and just relax on the boat after hours of exploring the Antalya city.
Tunektepe cable car (Tünektepe Lift) is serving with 36 cabins. Each cabin has 8 person capacity. The cable car can carry 1,200 people per hour. Tünektepe cable car has a length of approximately 1706 meters and a cable length of 3604 meters. Thanks to the project, the distance between Sarısu and Tünektepe will be reduced to 9 minutes. 6. Day : Departure (B)
